Revisiting for good food and sisha experience

Identifiable by the giant white balloon stationed at the "main gate", is Nabins Restaurant, restaurant serving Mediterranean / Arabian food - I was here 3 years back for drinks and sisha, and yearn for that experience again, together with dinner.  Ambience was beautiful, initimate settings with deep maroon cushions and gold drapes. Service was a little slow, but otherwise,

We had the Shish Kebab (SGD$22.90), for how could one visit an Arabian restaurant and not try their kebabs (skewered meat)? We chose the lamb kebab - the best, utterly tender lamb on a stick I have ever came across; well-marinated so that there was no gamey taste at all, only palatable sweetness throughout. Paired with the fragrant rice, this dish was a keeper for sure.

We also tried the Roasted Chicken with Apricot (SGD$13.90), served with the aromatic rice to accentuate the overall flavour. The chicken was succulent and had a good apricot-infused flavour to it - saccharine and savoury combined beautifully. The dried apricots and cashew nuts added bites to the dish.

average food, nice ambience, absolutely horrible service!

Food was alright, nothing special but edible. The service was so bad that I felt the staff might have been working for free, they seem completely uninterested, gave an irritated face whenever we made orders and did not even give us utensils to have our meals with. When we requested for our forks and knifes it finally came about 5 mins later, but it was dirty i could see the stains on the utensils!! doubt it was even washed. didn't bother asking them to replace it so i wiped the forks and knife myself. Lastly when we requested for bottled water they gave us dasani water which we dont like, we asked to change the drink to something else like a soft drink and they said no cancellation because they already keyed in the bottled water into the system!!! It was the worst service I have experienced in any restaurant in recent memory. Wow i was genuinely shocked the service could be this bad, I will absolutely not go there ever again even if i was starving.

good but busy turn over..

The management is kinda rude. We were waiting for the rest of our drinks, but she asked us to leave since the maximum hours for sheesha was only 2. We were not told about this at the time we came in..  the other staff was very nice and she explained nicely and asked us to move inside  to continue our drinks.. But the manager lady was very rude and was speaking very loudly..

Absolutely bad service

This is the first time I have experienced being asked to leave the restaurant. Disclaimer first, we ordered food and beer and shisha and sitting at the backyard where shisha is only allowed. we were told by one of the staff that the timing for shisha is up. so we asked if they could take the shisha away since we still have half of our finger food and we were still having beer. but the staff told us no, we have to finish the food and beer. and he even gave us a time of 10mins. this sounds very ridiculous. first, there are many empty tables around, and there was no queue at all. so we clarified with another staff and we has some problem understanding what he was saying. and the other staff told us that we could move in to the aircon area with our food and beer. but there were no available seats at the moment so they will shift us in when there are seats. i thought that sounds reasonable enough to me. but this staff kept insisting that we have to leave. i will not patronise them ever again and i feel obliged to share this bad experience with everyone.
