| Terrible
Went there for a quick lunch. service was slow.....only ordered a simple turkey cranberry sandwich and tomatoe soup.
kept reminding waiter but all they can say is wait. saw guy at the open sandwich counter. he was almost like not doing anything.
The rest was not full anyway.
Soup came. really got sore throat! it was so thick! exactly like concentrated tomatoe puree out of a can.
Sandwich....they used turkey ham which was shocking pink in colour. did;t taste like turkey at all. and the dressing was soggy. cranberry sauce was like cheap surgary jam.
total lunch S$17. Authenic NY flavour - 0

| Not as BaD..
Went there after coffee on a Thursday afternoon with my GF and a few of my friends. Read the reviews in HGW and was not very impressed, but we just thought of trying a new place without burning a hole in our pockets.
When we stepped into the restaurant, it was rather empty and thus we gotten a very comfy booth seat. Gotten a few drinks before we went off playing pool and making cotton candy. Haa! Wanted to order some wine but apparently there is only Tiger and Hein there, kind of disappointing.
The service was good - only from the supervisors and managers. Their staff does not seems well-trained and I do not really like the idea of repeating our orders with the code attached to it. I don't even know what the server was repeating. Also at that time when there was not much guests, the servers seems to be very engrossed with everything else other then attending to our needs.
Ordered a Crunchy Mushroom and Buffalo Wings. We were told it is a must try for the Buff Wings but we were all very surprised when it came onto our table. It was fried chix wing. My idea of Buff Wings would be something not fried and with sauce. It tasted more like fried Pizza Hut's spicy drunmlets. The mushroom is just 3 pieces of battered shitake and golden needle mushroom. Nice to just snack on but not really worth it.
We noticed there was a promo going on. I think when you pay with POSB/DBS cards, you get a FREE food item. Don't bother!!! Its just a ham salad.
Then we ordered two platters to share. As I know what I wanted, which was the Seafood Platter, my friends decided to order another meat platter so we can share. The Seafood Platter there are really awesome. Especially the cold crab which made us wanting more. The thing that was amazing was that the crab is very fresh despite its small size. Other than the cold crab, there is prawn fritters, smoke salmon, battered calamaris and fried fish fillet. As for the meat platter, it was really normal. Their ribs was not grilled but rather fried! Roast chix was also normal but I kind of like the brown sauce that comes with it. Chix cutlet was really really dry and bland. Wedges - how wrong can it goes when you just have to take it out of the freezer and deep fry it? But kudos to their coleslaw. We all love it. I like it especially because it adds lots of golden raisins into it. You can get a tinge of sweetness with every bite.
Overall, I like NYNY and I will go back when I hangout with my friends. At least they have a pool table, Hein and Seafood Platter. |

| So-So Lah~
I'm always curious as there's always lots of people queuing outside the restaurant during dinner and so since there was no queue today, so I decided to give it a try.
Ordered a Latino Chicken Chop, Spaghetti Alfredo Pork Chop, Florida Orange Crepe and a Iced White Blueberry Swirl.
Everything is normal and nothing out of the unexpected. The Latino Chicken Chop taste just like the normal chicken chop you can get in a decent food court. I had the Spaghetti Alfredo Pork Chop and it was so creamy that after I finished it, I felt like vomiting... The Florida Orange Crepe has this Chinese prickled orange taste which I don't really like and the Iced White Blueberry Swirl is just a mix of blueberry sauce with chocolate drink and whipped cream on top of it.
Even at 4pm, it seems like the restaurant is quite under staff as it takes a while to call the waiter for your orders.
Not sure if I'll be heading back as it's quite an unpleasant experience even though of the long queue that I always noticed. Maybe because of the long queue, that's why I had high expectation of the restaurant. |

| Big A** Burger
Walked past it once with my boyfriend & we were toying with the idea of eatihg their monster burger and yesterday we had a chance.
Service was pretty good and all staff had a smile on their face. We were served by a China waitress, her understanding of English wasn't that strong but she tried her best, always with a smile on her face and was a genuine smile.
We ordered:
1. Freedom Fries - It came pipping hot and was good. Salt wasn't distributing properly and I ended up with a good few mouthful of really salty ones.
2. Ribs - Huge and with lotsa BBQ sauce, probably too much cos there were barely anything meat from the ribs even though it looks huge. Potato wedges that came along was yummy, the greens look pathetic thou.
3. Big A** Burger - It was an idea turned reality. When it came we nearly fainted hahaha, more like me :) The burger was more for a group of 4. The bread was way too much, more than the patty. There was barely any garnishing in the burger and the patty if eaten without the bun is too salty but if you were to eat it with the buns, it will be overwhelming.
4. Tiger Beer - It was genuine APB stuff
Overall Experience - Wasn't expecting anything good and nothing good came out of it too. If you are not choosy and looking for a nice relaxing place for playing pool, they have a pool table there. If you are into people watching, grab the table near to the walk way and you'll be intrigued at the passerbys. |

| They have a pool table, POOL TABLE. Did I mention the POOL TABLE???
Was celebrating my friend's 15th birthday at NYNY. Around 15 people went. Big number of people, but we managed to get seats in a jiffy. The food was fantastic! We had quite a number of dishes, I can't really remember what they were though. But we ordered almost everything on the menu, and everything tasted great.
Service was wonderful. The manager, the filipino dude in white with dyed hair, is damn funny. He entertined us personally. I guess it was because we went during a non-peak hour. They have a candy floss machine, how cool is that? He made us like tons of candy floss and we made some our own too. Guess whats the best thing about their candy floss? IT'S F.O.C. Oh! And they also have a P-O-O-L-T-A-B-L-E. Oh my goddddd. We played pool like non-stop there. We had a great time dinning at NYNY and all the staff were friendly and they chatted with us :) |
