  1. What a Rip -Off! Pictures Advertised is Nothing Like What They Dish Out!

    Dec 28, 2008
$2.00 for 2pcs miserly fishcake, 1 thin slice of omelette, 15pcs peanuts & 17pcs ikan bilis(so little, that it can be counted)with rice, sambal and 1pc cucumber which you have to ask for!

Even if you order their set, the real thing does not even look like what they showed in the pictures above their store. They only thing that is real, true, correct and accurate is the price!

    • Good Nasi Lemak in Singapore

      Feb 28, 2009
It tastes wonderful. Nicely deep fried for wings and small fishes. It is crispy. The nasi lemak rice is soft and fragrance. It is a good meal for a gathering in bukit timah. Be early, if not it finishes.

      • Nasi Lemak Good Enough For Me!!!

        Nov 15, 2008
It was a wet morning and my stomach was falling. The hunger pang was mauling, but alas, I quash my nasi lemak calling. All at No. 1 Adam's Nasi Lemak.

Ok, enough of bad rhyme! The stall has the distinguished honour of being the "No 1" nasi lemak stall by default due to its location. So did I take to the food?

Well, I have a soft spot for nasi lemak and as long as you give me piping hot, and nice smelling rice, I'd be more than satisfied. The Nasi Lemak stall indeed gave me that "oomph". Rice is fragrantly good, the ikan bilis (Anchovies) and peanuts tasted pretty fresh. On top of this, they'd also throw in an egg and two slices of fish cake.

Huh? That I do not understand. Miserly two pieces of fish cake? Still, this packet of nasi lemak that costs me $2 is still well worth it. They even throw in specials such as prawn sambal.

The place is a bit noisy though but c'mon, it's Adam Road Food Centre. Also, the nasi lemak would have gone down my intestine much better if the mak cik has smiled a lil bit more. Oh well...

Overall, total value for money and tasty too. So go get em'!!!
