Like most Irish pubs in Singapore, this place had more room to walk around, and the sound system was of better quality. Took my friend and I about close to an hour to navigate ourselves there, before that we were in China Town shopping. Been wanting to go to this pub for ages, and it lived up to expectations. Pub was not crowded when we arrived, around 5:30pm, and I coincidentally bumped into an acquaintance, pleasantly surprised seeing him after more than 2 years! The bar staff was very friendly, and the drinks that we ordered were filled to the brim. We chatted with one of the bar staff, who was a foreigner and had been living here for less than 3 months but she knew the pub's history and simple things about crowds and bands that performed. Drink prices were generally the same as Muddys, Durty Nelly's etc, but they used Smirnoff Vodka as the housepour.

Must tries: house pour drinks, heineken on tap

Dropped in here on a Friday night, the place was not too full, so gave us an opportunity to chat and check out the menu.

The drinks - stuck with white wine. While the prices are reasonable, the quality is questionable. White wine bottles are ~$40+, and the bar staff had a tendency to fill the glass to almost the top. This isn't a house party, act professionally and pour a standard measure.

The food - admittedly I didn't do the ordering, but when the mini pizzas came out, I was famished enough to try a slice. Result - they are frozen pizzas from Cold Storage or Carrefour and warmed up in an oven. While they are not bad, seriously how hard is it to make your own?

The place warrants a return, to sample the Guinness and check out food alternatives. It is in a nice area, and the pub is certainly lively.

    1. Management Hi, Thanks for your review. Yes the small pizzas are frozen and are marketed as a snack rather than a meal. As you mentioned they are quite tasty, so they have been pretty well recieved. We are looking at expanding our selection to include fresh made pizza. Our lasagna has gotten really good reviews. Perhaps you might try that next time. As for the wine, if the glass is too full, please forgive my staff. We shall try and train them better. You might want to try the Ular wine next time you are in. It is the most popular wine by the bottle that we sell. Thanks again for taking the time to provide feedback as we are always looking at ways to improve our little pub. Cheers

I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in O'Bama's. The name made me laugh so I had to check it out. I didn't know what to expect...
What I found was a pub that really reminded me of home. The spittin' image of my local in Cahir!

The pints of Guinness were delivered immediately with the perfect bishops collar (not too thick and not too thin). We ordered Stew and Lasagna. Both dishes were EXCELLENT! They guy next to us was eating curry, it looked really good also, so I'll need to try that one next time.

A charming Irish gal behind the bar (Galway I think?) chatted with me as I enjoyed another pint.

It is refreshing to find an Irish pub which is not covered with fake antiques and newly manufactured bric-a-brac (aka rubbish!).

    Definitely my new local!

Must tries: Lasagna, Beef Stew, Nonya Curry
