  1. An Old Favourite!

    Mar 15, 2007
    Ah, the memories.
When I was broke, I'd always somehow scrape up some change to buy a satisfying curry puff from OCK.
What I love about OCK (Old Chang Kee) is their traditional curry puffs. They make em' as they should be, unlike those sissy little pastry puffs they make at those pretentious post-modern bakeries.
My favourites? Their traditional curry puffs. In my opinion that's that best thing there. No matter how many copycats spawned after OCK, they still keep up their authenticity by retaining the delicious flavours.
It's like a meal in a puff. Soft potatoes, fat pieces of chicken and a slice of egg encrusted in a golden crusty casing.
Plus, it's Halal for our Muslim friends. :)

Value for money, and good on the pockets - even during the hard times.
    Must Tries

    Curry O's. (Original Curry Puff)

I also recommend this place for

Nah, Chang Kee's curry puffs are nothing great. I find them to be bland instead. There isn't any curry herbs taste in their curry puffs. "Tip top" curry puffs at the Ang Mo Kio coffee shop is much better. In fact they were featured over TV and after that they increased their price from $0.70 to $1.00?? They have also employed some youngsters in uniform to do the sales. Will try to get the exact address when I go there again.
