splendid

Palm Beach Seafood restaurant certainly brings nice and warm memories back to me. Looking back when I first stepped into the restaurant, frankly speaking, the place failed at a glance as compared to Jumbo. Nevertheless as I picked up the menu, I was amazed by the amount of award-winning dishes that they have received.

Their famous Chili Crab - the sauce is a perfect blend of spices that marry so well to the extend that you feel an explosion of flavors in your mouth. With the complement of the fried mantou(s), I could never forget how delicious it was back then.

Beef Skewers - Another award-winning dish. At first, I was quite reluctant to order because this particular dish has a minimum order quantity of 4. However, I still ordered it as their order-taker is an eloquent person. On the first bite, I was totally ready for more indulgence.

Moneybag - It is not an award-winning dish but it's worth a try. The crunchiness of the deep-fried wrapped moneybag will make you crave for more!

Waiting time wise, you can't really pin-point to their level of capability because I understand that orders flood in with no warnings beforehand. I am willing to wait for the good food that I will be tasting because I would like to highlight that you can't possibly demand good quality food if you are going to spare just a good 10 minutes and expect all your dishes to be out. From the other reviews that I have read, I can only voice out that if you guys really want good quality food, you have to wait, or else you can just sway your way to a tze char stall in any particular hawker centre/ kopitiam, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy the short waiting time that you are looking for.

All in all, it was delectable having a meal in the cosy restaurant with attentive waitresses.

: chili crabs, moneybag, beef skewer, spicy morning glory

    Can you handle it?

Disclaimer: I am a friend of some staff at the restaurant, while I am probably not 100% objective, I will try to keep the info as straight forward as possible and won't give you much bullshit. Plus, the frequency at which I eat here probably means that I am much more experienced with the place.

A great Singaporean restaurant with outstanding service and fantastic food. I personally adore the salted egg crab - the most decadent version served in Singapore (from the bunch I have sampled) - though most are more in love with the creamy crab which is itself a unique experience. That, and (weirdly) the Lamb Chop are my absolute favorite (affordable) reasons to dine at Palm Beach.

Ambience is not amazing when seated indoors, it is basically a classier take on the true blue Singaporean seafood restaurant and comes complete with a faux forest to compensate for our island's lack of (natural) vegetation. So with that, comes tip number 1: if the weather looks good, ask for an "outside" table and feast on fish while the Merlion merlions in disgust at your inconsiderate consumption of his kin. Better still, most evenings (I may be mistaken) you'll be treated to a free laser show courtesy of Marina Bay Sands.

Lastly, service at this restaurant has consistently been top notch for me, not overly pesky while always maintaining a good level of attentiveness and contact.

      worst service

      27 Dec 2011
We arrived at One Fullerton looking for a nice restaurant during Christmas day, thinking that palm beach was a good seafood restaurant, we tried it. We prefer the outdoor seating but it was fully booked, so we were given an indoor seating. We ordered a seafood platter combination, vegetable dish, honey-tangy fish, seafood fried rice, and Hong Kong style noodles. The first 3 items, platter, vegetable, and fish arrived first after 10 minutes. We were so hungry that we needed to eat with staple, we keep on following-up the fried rice at noodles which only came after 45 minutes! it was clear that the staff forgot our order as he disappeared when we are looking for him and only came back after the pending orders were being served. He said he didnt forgot the order then he started saying lame excuses. Also, i was wondering why they don't have napkins when we asked from them??!! they only have the wet ones that are packed. Its pathetic and they don't have class. How could a restaurant with 'good reputation' can't have napkins at all? Food wise, not bad. Service, nvm. The menu is also not good as it is not very clear (description not clearly explained, you will have to base on the pictures) and price not indicated. It's very expensive and definitely not worth it. Also different service provided for local singaporeans, caucasian/european foreigners, and asian foreigners.
