Not so International afterall
Sep 2, 2007Well, variety of food isnt as international as it is said to be. quality and quantity of Pariss has dropped since the last time i went there. food were limited, not exactly worth the money. would rather go to Seoul Garden, cheaper and more satisfied. hmm, somehow the food and the restaurant's title lacks satisfaction.I also recommend this place for

Don't EVEN TRY.... I did and it was HORRIBLE!!. Save your $ for elsewhere.
Jun 22, 2009Alright, I made a mistake. I admit it. Its recession. So, I thought it should not be a bad restaurant afterall there was always a long queue and the price seem reasonablly price for what seems like a hotel-style spread of seafood, japanese, tepanyaki and free-flow of drinks. But I am so wrong!
The food quality was bad. Period. There was no crab on the hot plate where the crab should have been, the seafood was not fresh. the prawns were mushy by the time you peeled off the head and shell. The sashimi was cold and tasteless probably a result of no time to thaw and the sushi was cold and the vingered rice was hard. If you expect it to be made-fresh, think again. The chef is only there to impressed. His real job is to cut and slice not there to prepare and serve, maybe except the teriyaki counter chef. he seems to be very busy. The teriyaki items were equally disappointing. Steak with lots of fat and not grilled to perfection. Its a rush job.
But my worst nightmare was the crowd and the service quality. Most of the people who were there were students, families with growing kids who can stomach huge "quantity" of food, tourist and PRC with their SG boyfriend/girlfriend.
There was also NO service. I wondered why we paied for service charged....?? I will particularly remembered Fabian, the outlet manager of Marina Square who told me that it is not their fault that there was spill on the floor and I fell to the ground. He said that he will go by law if anything happens. Imagine having someone telling you this as if you can fell on purpose to gain compensation??? I may have entered a resturant low-end buffet restaurant but I am not about to treated like a low-class customer!
If you read this. Please do yourself a favour, avoid this restaurant. Your money is better spent elsewhere. Food establishment such as this should be exposed so that people don't get fooled by the queue. Long queue does not equal to good food in this case. Trust me, even the Marina Foodcourt is a better option.Spent about

I don't even know if Horrific is the word to describe the place......
May 7, 2009Seriously, I'm not even sure why is there a crowd at that place. I will never go to Pariss again and the thought of the place leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
When we arrived, we told the waiter that we need to downsize our table as a few people were not turning up and he said it's ok and we can just stick to the table we reserved as the smaller tables are all taken up. I'll come back to why I wrote this later.
Anyway, Food-wise
Oysters
Or should I say "What Oysters?" Throughout the entire dinner, I didn't see any oysters at all!!!!
Sashimi
It was limp and watery and tasteless. I didn't even bother going back for seconds
Crab
The plate was always empty. I don't even know why they bother saying they have crab there.
Grilled Sanma
Horrendeous!! There was this icky taste of over-used oil on the fish
Herbal Chicken Soup
I taste black beans more than chicken
Drinks
They might as well just serve ice water seriously. Drinks are all horrendeously diluted
Seriously the only "Good" stuff where like those CS Tay Chicken Kaarage where they are all ready made and they can just fry them.
Also to add, they cleared the table of dirty dishes very slowly. If not for the bigger tabe we got, I doubt we have room to go back for more food!!!
Now... I was already pissed off with the food but the final nail in the coffin was the very sarcastic manager who came to our table asking why such a small group is at a big table and he went on about LOST SALES and suggested that we should PAY FOR THE EXTRA SEATS!!!
After we told him about what his staff said, he still made snide remarks about the lost revenue. Now I do understand about the lost revenue bit but we did request for a smaller table at the beginning!!
I have no words to describe the atrocious food, actrocious service and an "unforgettable experience"
Never again will I step into Pariss!!!!

Nice food, better than expected
Nov 29, 2009Its my second time visiting this restaurant.
The 1st time was abt 2 yrs ago. Food was so so. similar to other buffet restaurant.
Went there again during F1 weekend. Again didnt expect much but go because of a business gathering.
Notice some new changes to the decor. They have a sashimi counter now. And they seems to be topping up the sashimi in smaller quantity to ensure better freshness.
Was amazed to find some pple comment that there was NO OYSTER!!! lol guess they didnt read the signage there. You need to place ur table tag at the oyster counter. And the chef will open it and served to your table. mmm guess i prefer this type of arrangement rather than trying to pick out the better looking ones among the tray of oyster.
The cook food was so so, i do believe one got to manage his or her expectation, eg if u want good chilli crab pls go to a seafood restaurant, even crab served in 5 star hotel buffet is small and never taste as good as jumbo or NSB.
1 thing to note, the lamp chop is very good. try it :)Must Tries

Horrific doesn't even begin to describe this place
Mar 5, 2009Walking in, we saw the bed of ice where the oysters were supposed to be is empty. Throughout the whole dinner, I never saw any on it!
The place was pathetically understaffed, there was not enough in the dishes, not even enough plates sometimes, and everything else was terrible too.
Chilli Crab = empty for the whole time we were there. They replaced the dish eventually with pepper crab. I observed about 4 crabs in the thing which lasted about 45 seconds.
Oysters = I don't even know how they looked like because we never saw any.
Soup = not enough bowls most of the time. Chicken soup lacked chicken.
Drinks = can't go wrong? WRONG! "juices" are coloured water. Even the coke was over aerated.
Teppenyaki = numbered clips to be put in the bowls for the cooks to make... overflowing and when they delivered the stuff to us (40 minutes later - we forgot) it was actually for the wrong table.
The rest of the stuff ranged from tasteless to outright horrific.
Never, ever again!Must Tries

'Amazing'
Feb 27, 2009We can be sure of many things in life, certain consequences follow certain actions. Leap off a building and you earn a ride to the mortuary. Donate to a Charity and your money will put to good use. Pay $40 and get a good buffet dinner.
It should be that straightforward but someone forgot to warn us of T.T Durais and restaurants like Pariss. I was wholly disappointed on my last trip there. For a start, the place looks posh and the variety of food, impressive. All was well until I started eating.
The Sashimi was limp and 'discolored'. The sushi were 'ok'. Oysters? Lets put it this way; if you want the Oysters you had better be standing by the counter throughout your dinner to wait for the replenishment, if they even do replenish!
The Asian fare were bland.
Double boiled soup tasted rubbery (Serious!)
Desserts were ok.
Pariss should consider slashing their price if they are going to dish out this standard. Seriously.Must Tries

Disappointed
Dec 9, 2007I used to had good comment on their food quality and variety; but after I tried their tea time promotion, I really disappointed.
Their tea time promotion costs about 14.90++, from 2pm to 5pm. I do understand the spread will not be as good as lunch and dinner, but it is much beyond my expectation.
The food supply is limited. With huge demand, all food are in the mess (visually). The only more acceptable one is tempura...
Available food: tempura, salad, fried noodle, fried rice, curry chicken, cooked vegetable, cake, ice-cream ( you can get all these food from hawker center ).I also recommend this place for

Quantity... but not quality
Dec 2, 2007Ate here with colleagues for dinner.
Overall impression was that while there was a tremendous range of food, the quality was overall quite disappointing. Sushi & sashimi were limp. Cooked food was over-salted, and desserts were poor. Service was also spotty, and everything was garishly cheena-glitzy (sigh!)
In general, such buffets are usually a triumph of quantity over quality, but even then, Pariss quality is really sad.
For a few bucks more, you'd get an equally good range at Cafe Biz at Traders Hotel and FAR better quality; if you have a credit card promotion, you might even pay less for Cafe Biz.
Conclusion: Avoid.Spent about

Quality Drop
Mar 28, 2007Went to the Pariss yeaterday due to a treat from my cousin.
Used to had quite a good impression of Pariss, remembering that it had quite a good range of seafood, it taste quite good and their oyster was the largest that i ever saw. But that time was when it just start their operation.
but after yesterday, my feeling had changed. First, the oyster shrink, abt 1/2 the size it use to be and other seafood that i try did not taste very fresh.
There are quite a number of foods but did not verfiy for the price that it charge which was abt $38 for a wkday dinner.
The food that i enjoyed will be the cooked food like salmon and unegi which they cook upon order.I also recommend this place for
