Good Food, Good Price!
Dec 3, 2008Located within the compound of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Pines Cafe offers pretty good food at food court prices. Asian delights such as Fried Hokkien Noodles and Nasi Ayam Pengyet for as low as $4, and Japanese bento sets for $7.50.
The decor of the restaurant is pretty tastefully done. Only issue is that students usually patronise the restaurant during lunch, making it both crowded and extremely noisy. Outside of that time belt, you'd get to enjoy your food in pretty much blissful quietness.
The restaurant has a good spread of food, and they also cater to proper dinner where you can order your various dishes such as my fav omlette, sweet & sour pork, kong po chicken and many more.
To be frank, I stay in the east but I've driven to this restaurant in the west quite a number of times, and have even celebrated events such as Father's day and small scale birthdays there.
The overseer of the place, Alvin, has been very accomodating to our every need. From reservation, to special requests like food booking of dishes not in the menu, he'd do his utmost to help.
Definitely a place to visit! and no, I'm not the owner of the place nor am I a stakeholder. I'm just a person that allows my stomach to lead me to where good food is. So where my stomach leads, I will follow.I also recommend this place for
