The service here was disappointing, to say the least. Mostly expat crowd here and kind of stuffy ambience.

While we begged for a table for 3, I was greeted with a mechanical reply,"........For food or only for drinks and dessert?". Unfortunately, we were for the latter and then came the next reply,"...minimum order, one ice-lemon tea each". Or that was what I could make of her foreign accent. It could have been "one item each". So be prepared.

Yes, you need to reach across and speak louder because of the noise level.

Finally, the food/dessert didn't match my price expectations. Expensive and so so only.

my 1st time there; 1st thing that strikes me is the number of people who go there fit the profile of 'pretentious, act high class and wannabe'. everyone looks like they just are posing and looking all self-conscious. omg. awful crowd. so many of the women there are SPGs (sarong party girl) who suffer from the pinkerton syndrome - awful.

prices are ridiculous - 15$ for a SLICE OF CAKE. come on...

2nd thing: be prepared for c*** attitude to clients - 1st thing they tell you if you want to go there for drinks/dessert is "YOU MUST ORDER AT LEAST 1 ITEM EACH PERSON". Another thing: you can find a whole slew of angmohs saunter in, each WEARING FLIP FLOPS.

omg, this place has no class. (and you pay these ridiculous prices to see angmohs wear flipflops)

One more thing: this place HIRES EVERYONE FILIPPINO - typical of F&B places these days that claim that "Singaporeans don't want to work in these jobs..."

The ambiance of ps cafe has to be one of the best in singapore, be prepared to wait for a table on a sunday though. Service can be a bit slow, the food is nothing special, maybe a little pricy, though overall package makes this my favorite brunch hang out in singapore

    Must tries: brunch menu

    1. del lee u're such a wannabe, it's no wonder suaku singaporeans like u feel this way about PS cafe. u need to get out there a little more (yes, i mean travel out of sg and see the world a bit more)

My first visit to PS Cafe at Dempsey was by my boyfriend who wanted to give me a surprise. The place is simply beautiful with the interior so simple yet elegant. Tealight candles were places on every table creating a romantic atmosphere. Even the alfresco dining looked good with a view of the trees and greenery.

We ordered a main each, the PS burger as well as the pie. Both were not excellent for the hefty pricetag we were paying for. The burger tasted ordinary and reckon that even Macdonald's double cheese tasted better. As for the pie, it was not too bad however, the portion could be slightly bigger for the price we paid.

The desserts on the other hand were very good and maybe one of the best. We had the chocolate cake as well as the key lime pie. The cake was huge and packed with quality chocolate fillings. As for the key lime pie, the pie although appeared smaller in comparison to the chocolate cake, was appetising and an eye opener. The lime was smooth yet with a tinge of sourness. Truely enjoyable and if we were to return back to PS Cafe, we would definitely just order the desserts while sinking into the lovely ambience.

Still a great place for food or dessert.

Ambience:  We arrived before sunset and had a lovley view of PS cafe.  Other times were only dark.  It has dining places facing greenery, and comfortable tables, chairs and airconditioning (if you want it).

Food:  Recommendations:  Shoestring truffle oil, fish and chips, moussaka (brinjal with cheese), ribs, pasta,  Caesar's sald (enough for 2 pax),  and the desserts - lime pie, chocolate cake.  All tasty  except the pork pie which was overfried and had hard pork bits.

Value:  Not the cheapest but good value.

Service:  Friendly with Asians trying hard to get the Western accent - trying for an attitude!!

the overall experience there wasn't satisfactory. the food was very overpriced for that quality.

the PS burger was no good, i'd rather have carls junior.

perhaps this place is more for cakes.

Please drop by my foodblog Twice as Delicious http://wp.me/p1GkyL-pb for details and photos.

PS. Café is a perfect choice to go for a nice dinner or a post dinner drink. My favourite PS. branch is Dempsey followed by Palais. Ann Siang is alittle too secluded and Paragon has a very limited menu.

TRUFFLE SHOESTRING FRIES - Our MUST ORDER in PS Café. The tantalizing smell of truffle oil was addictive.  Do order to share as the portion was huge.

MISO COD - My favourite main in PS Café.  I like the combination of all the ingredients used in this dish. The side of rocket salad with udon in the tangy lemon & sesame sauce went well with the "melt in the mouth" thick stab of cod fillet.

Overall, PS Café serves quality food and the ambiance is great for unwinding after a long day at work. My only complain about PS café is the reservation system - I do not like the  sms reservation system. Moreover, you cannot make reservations if you are coming for  desserts and drinks only.

was recommended this place a few years back but never got to go because of the location.

finally went after getting lost a bit driving around dempsey. called the place and managed to get some directions. thanks.

    table for 2.

ordered from the chalk board menu..(let's see if i can remember what!) .... aaaaaand... no i don't remember what were the names of the dishes we ordered (doh....)

we ordered a beef dish, and another lamb dish..

beef was amazing! done medium, flavourfully tasty, strong beefy, tender, almost melts in your mouth! came with asparagus and potatoes.

lamb dish, came with mashed potatoes that were mmm mmmm mmmm! lamb was tasty tasty too, came with some vegetables i.e. broccoli, cauliflower etc..

wonderful tasting food :) i love my meat! ;)

saw alota tables ordering the big plate of fries though..

dessert. always room for dessert :D

shared the (huuuuggggge slice of) chocolate cake (can't remember the name either!) comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. good cake for chocolate lovers :) you can see the cake along the counter as you walk in, there's a noticeably large/tall chocolate cake. that's the one.

ah.. i just noticed the votes section.. it's the double chocolate blackout cake!

the only problem with this place is the acoustics of sitting inside. TERRIBLY noisy.

you can't hear yourself! too much hardness, nothing soft to absorb all that noise from groups, kids (OMG! WHY!?), the cling-clang of dishes, and music (though you can hardly hear a note through all the ruckus).

i'd go back again for the food, but the NOISE! doh....... quite a deterrent. i thought this place was good for dates!

Must tries: double chocolate blackout cake

I am total bruncher, went there to have a sunday brunch with a date!!! I totally love their outside seating and as it is raining often was not so hot and was perfect, the food in this place is never disappointing but the service could be better... the waiters look tired and serving because they have no choice, it was not bad to ruin my visit but they should watch that!

The service at this restaurant never fails to let me down.

I remember the first time I visited this restautant about three years ago. They refused to cook my eggs through.

The second time, a bunch of friends of mine made a reservationf or five people. Only four turned up and they were asked to pay $50 for the one no-show. They ended up ordering an extra main.

Just last month, I arrived at the outlet at 11:15 am in the pouring rain. I waved at a waitress inside to let my friend and I in - we were getting soaked.

They waved us away and gestured that they were closed.

Food at this place is also mediacore, expensive and lacks freshness.

The only thiong is has going is ambience. How does this place survive?
