Ravello is an Italian restaurant by renown Chef Cesare Cantarella offering great dining experience and great venue for gatherings.
Brought the parents out for dinner near the neighbourhood. it was a quiet wednesday and we went into Ravello expecting pizzas and pasta. My fathet was disappointed that they don't served pizza s. However, I rationalised to my dad that similar Japanese cuisines, if a restaurant serves everything, it cant be good at everything. We ordered a squid ink pasta, a braised goat pappadelle, two kinds of ravioli (spinach and ricotta and lobster and scallops), burrata cheese and calamari. Oh, and grilled porkchops! tiramisu and lemon sherbet for desserts. yes, we ate a lot. all were tasty! my dad loves the squid ink! I love the ravioli and pappadelle. mum loves the burrata and salad on the side.
Located where Villa de Parma used to be, Ravello has some great home-style Italian food at middle-range prices. It is a new establishment, however, so do expect the occasional teething problem. It has also retained the services of the excellent Mr. Darshana who used to work at Villa de Parma. With food this good and service this impassioned, you can scarcely go wrong
I have tried Ravello several times and i can easily say that the food and recipes are really "Come a Casa" (like home).
Cesare is a warm and welcoming guy and the food he prepares together with his team is outstanding.
I tied their appetizers, main courses and meat dishes always with a good glass of red wine and i must say that the quality is very good for a reasonable price.
Lasagne and Fillet wrapped with Lardo are a MUST TRY!
Sorbetto would be just the right way to finish a great meal.
