Visited Robata Robata for their promotional 4 for 3 price dinner. Was hestitated to dine there initially as there were many poor reviews about the food. But in the end Robata was chosen because of its location and the promotion. I think many reviews mentioned about Robata poor food quality and range of foods availability is a bit bias. To be fair, if you compared Robata and Kushinbo prices, kushinbo price is at least $20 more than Robata. That explains why the differences in quality and variety of the food. But then, Robata still offer a good variety and its food quality is decent too. True enough, their oysters were give limited to 3 in a plate. But the repleshment was decent and relatively fast and enough for most diners. Unless you are someone who need to eat 20 oysters at one go, else 3 oysters in a plate limit should be enough for most people. In fact after a while, there are plenty of oysters available and no queue for it. The Tepanyaki limit of 1 special dish to one pax did not affect me much as I am already full to even want to try the tepanyaki. The seafood are also pretty fresh. The salad and the thin pizza are very nice. The cooked food corner and the japanese food are pretty good too. Overall, this is a value for money buffet with a decent variety and quality. Service is pretty good too.
