It was such a hot day. Inside the cafe, you expect some good working airconditioner. But, you end up perspiring.

Waited 5 minutes or so to get seated when there are so many tables, staff acted like they didnt see us waiting outside for a table.

Food was served so quickly you wonder if they are all waiting in the microwave because even the scrambled eggs are dried up. No cutlery on the tables, every table only has 1 knife 1 spoon. At first we saw a lady walking around the cafe collectng utensils and were wondering what she was doing. Then we knew why, we had only 1 knife too. Asked for assistnce from staff, message got passed on and had to stand up and souce for cutlery like previous lady.

Finished my eggs benedict with crabcake and found an ant inside the supposedly hollandaise sauce which unfortunately tasted like nothing but goo.

Sorry but see you never again.

Ordinary food, sub par service

On the face of it, Spruce Firehouse looks like a good brunch place and has decent ambience.  But that's where anything remotely approaching  praise stops.

The food is so ordinary that it wouldn't befit paying half the price and the service is ordinary to the point of being apathetic

Overall it's a shame that a place with so much potential is let down by things easily under the management's control

Eggs. They come in all shapes, sizes, colours and varieties: white, brown, free range, barn-laid, small, large and extra large. Some come with Omega 3, others with selenium and carrot. We makes sense of it all.
What to Eat
Bingsu ice shavings, sweet rice cakes and toasts invade the cafes here. Not typically offered in traditional Korean meals, desserts are served only during special occasions as refreshments, but in Singapore, the tables are turned

What to Eat
Have fun with food as foreplay, and these items are easily bought at supermarkets. Just be mindful of allergies (gas and rashes are no fun) and be prepared to sacrifice the sheets
