More for experience than food

We had lunch here after a swim and didn't want to eat their buffet spread. From their ala carte menu, we ordered: Nasi Goreng - they have spicy and non-spicy options so that means they fry theirs from scratch! And the platter consists of 2 sticks of satay, 2 pieces of fried chicken, acah and papadums. The fried rice itself has whole prawns in it, pretty generous in amount. Seafood Hor Fun - I must say the seafood amount is generous and fresh. The lacking factor would be the hor fun and sauce. It's not the Zichar type with good wok-Hei. So it's pretty average. Pasta in tomato sauce - this is a kids meal option and taste wise, it's pretty ordinary. I think I make better tomato sauce. Heh... The food here is kinda so-so but service is good. I won't come here JUST to makan but if in the area, why not?

Good place to sit down

Starz has a good ambience as expected of such a place but the selection is simply not there.
Quality and variety suffers and could seriously need some improvement. Service is prompt and ok.
Your typical buffet restaurant.

If you are looking for a expensive place to sit down, this is it.

just your normal buffet nothing fantastic, lack of variety

i went on a monday for their buffet lunch. the crowd increased gradually at about 12.30-1pm which i believe are office ppl working in RWS because they left as soon as they are done with their meals. even so , the restaurant was only half full.
i think they don't offer much of a variety. their food are just so so. There was chinese , malay, indian and jap selection and each 3 different dishes. (e.g. chinese has chicken rice , white chicken, roasted chicken and 1 more i can't rmb. and jap had pumpkin tempura, croquet , salmon sashimi.) And if you want the laksa you gotta tell the chef and he will prepare a small bowl of it for you. desert was normal too , which includes 2 flavours of ice-cream , self serve , matcha and vanilla was offered when i went. Nothing fantastic . Probably because i was having lunch buffet, dinner might offer more? service was good, they will clear your plates as soon as you're done and will ask if you want any coffee and tea regularly.

i feel that the restaurant is a little cramped up and we were settled at a 2 seater so closely to the ones beside us i could literally hear their conversation. could be better if the tables are not close tgt.

Not going back to Starz..

For the price that I am paying, I am never going back to Starz Restaurant anymore. Online menu stated lots of dishes, yet we finished walking through the varieties in less than 30mins.

We were told there were no oysters even though menu stated there is.. and that they will replace it with the Alaskan King Crab which was already shown available of their menu..?!?!

The buffet started from 6.30pm and we made it in time for our reservation at 7pm for 4 person.

We barely had much King Crabs (served in small pieces, unlike TODAI who served in whole crab legs). By 7.30pm, the Chef said they got no more King Crabs?! What is this?!?! We barely had more than 2 pathetic small pieces of it! They then replaced it with Snow Crabs which was also stated as part of the menu. If the management decided to serve just either the oysters, King OR Snow Crabs, then please indicate in your menu! This is very misleading and unprofessional. Soups not replenised.. Seeing sick looking stir-fried beansprout was a turned off. At 8pm, no more tuna and yellow tail sashimi! Seriously?! People are not expecting "no more this.. no more that.." even though we bought it at $56nett/pax. I cannot imagine walk-in customers who need to pay $80nett/pax!

Overall, not value for both money and time!
