worst meal ever!

1. No typical steamboat sauce. No sesame sauce even. Best I can find - soya sauce. 2. Not much options for what they called buffet. Don't see golden mushrooms. Vegetables look Dirty n dull. 3. Pork soup is tasteless even after adding two eggs. Sukiyaki is ok. 4. Hygiene is bad. Pot was dirty before soup came so I quickly asked for a change. 5. Beef is tasteless n too tough. Bad quality. Overall: bad choice!

terrible service, good food but very unwelcoming.

good food, fresh and juicy meat, though very limited variety.

BAD service, they seem not want to serve at all. The look, the attitude of the only 2 waiters all seem to shoo customers out of the restaurant.

The meat was supposed to be served to the table. But they take so long to serve one dish that many customers had to go to the fridge to get the meat themselves.

Good food, but service really spoil the entire experience.

Eat all you can at the house of Sukiyaki and Shabu shabu at an affordable price.

There are 6 types of soup broth for diners to choose from, sukiyaki, laksa, kimchi, tonyu miso, butaniku and shabu shabu. We had chosen laksa and Sukiyaki for the base. The pot was placed on an induction cooker with controllers by the side of the table.

Laksa was fragrant and thick which fills the stomach easily whereas sukiyaki sauce was a combination of sweet and salty taste, more towards my likings.

Overall, service was abit lacking here and there - they seems to be understaffed.  We were frantically waving countless times to catch attention. Other than that, I would say that Suki-ya is a good gathering place for groups to catch up while enjoying their buffet meals.

Terrible Service, Food- nothing to boast about.

Went there for late lunch on a weekday. The waiter squeezed 3 of us into this tiny stuffy corner table where it was essentially a table for 2. Seeing that there was less than 30% occupancy, and there were many bigger and better ventilated tables, we asked to have a table change. The waiter refused, saying that other tables are reserved for groups of 4 or larger- unless we have a baby pram. And also said they were expecting larger crowds soon. At 4pm?! Fine- if they say so.

Asked another waiter if we were to get empty plates from the buffet spread, she said yes. At the buffet spread, could not find any empty plates. Asked another waiter and she said "The plates are at your table." The waiters have no idea where the plates are?

We had to ask for our cups of tasteless green tea to be refilled several times (paid like 80cents per cup but tastes like plain water). The MANAGER, filled our hot green tea with iced green tea, didn't realise until we told him, and even after he knew, #1 He did not apologise. #2, He just shrugged his shoulders, muttered a soft "uh.." then walked off.

Upon payment, we produced a Marina Square dining voucher. The cashier had a good stare at it for 5 minutes before acknowledging the voucher. Seriously?

I would not even bother mentioning the food as our moods were completely ruined by the appalling service. And for the record, there were still more than 60% of empty tables by the time we settled the bill.

Will never return. I will not pay for 10% service charge for such poor service.
