Dinner @Swensen's

2 Jurong East Street 21, #01-102

As expected, it's a friday and it's dinner time, we waited in line for about 15 minutes and greeted with a warmth welcome by the outlet manager. We ordered our food while waiting for our seats just so we can save enough time for dinner. Spoilt for choices! I didn't know that Swensens did some small touches to the new menu. But of course, I can never missed those Christmas specials!

Colourful buttered veges and glazed chestnuts. Medium Rare NZ Ribeye topped with brown gravy and served with big chunk of wedges. S*** looking little meat, aye? Let's take a look on how "well" it's being cooked as requested.

I, Miss Lisa Ash, actually remembered ordering my meat to be "Medium" but end up having Medium Rare instead. But being an angel who is alreaddyy totally hungry for food, I appreciate the chef's kindness for reading my mind when I thought of changing it to Medium Rare. Just the way I want my ribeye to be cooked; red in the center yet warm in temperature but cooked on the outside. Love the flavour and the juicy texture of the ribeye. Plus, it's from New Zealand, btw. Usually, steaks in Singapore are mostly from Australia. That beats the special taste for Swensens Christmas Special, I suppose. Goes well with the brown sauce they poured over the meat. Veges are not too salty and not to bland. I kinda enjoy having the glazed chestnuts as well. =) Overall main course rated (max of 5 stars) = 4.5 stars. Everyone got a taste of my ribeye and they do agree that my food tastes the best among the rest. Not a titch of regret!!

i like to do solo lunch, it's the only time in a day i can just relax and be with my self. so i usually went for a restaurant that can give me privacy and something to read while waiting for my meal to come. and Swensen in IMM have a lot of women magazine to read and some is new edition. the staff wasn't very friendly here, that's the only minus thing here. the food is pretty much the same with other branch.
