Due to the recent Xmas promo at Swensen's, I arrived at its Bugis Junction outlet to try out its side dishes. Good Thing always come first: its calamari rings, that was served with tartar sauce, was fabulous. The sotong was juicy and chewy.Next, although the butterfly shrimps did not look like fried prawns and not at all appetising but surprisingly, they tasted good and crispy.
We had also ordered a malted milk shake which have been a must whenever we visit swensen's.It was a milk shake added with an ice-cream scoop of your choice and a dose of malted power. It has been my favourite drink becos it tastes thick and creamy with the chewy sticky chocolate ice-cream and it actually can serve 2 persons.
Now the bad ones.Firstly I really did not enjoy its rodeo wings cos I found them a bit too sweet for my palate. One thing to note though, these wings really looked very appetising when they arrived at the table, so do not be deceived by the look of them.
Lastly,we tried the spic 'n' chic which was actually golden fried chicken thigh strips.I thought the flour was pretty thick but on the whole, they are still acceptable.
Overall experience was great becos it was enhanced by the female supervisor who is always so helpful that I get to remember her. Her service is excellent. Moreover,on this visit, the ambience was filled with christmas festival mood and the xmas promo was value for money.
