Awesome Presentations

Szechuan Court probably has one of the best chinese cuisine presentations in town. Their food is prepared and presented immaculately and you can see the effort put into making them.

To be honest, I was captivated by the lovely deco to dine here! Indeed the restaurant is really beautiful and very big with a few private rooms!

One thing about Szechuan Court is they were very generous with the food portion. Though we have only 2 pax, but the food portion was always given for about 3-4 pax portion. If you're not a big eater, do ask them to give smaller portion in order not to waste the food.

The service here was quite good, plates were mostly cleared promptly. The desserts here are very ordinary, hope the chef can be more creative. Food quality was decent with nice ambience and good service, Szechaun Court is still worth a visit!

Food was really amazing by Master Chef Su.
set menu was valuable starting from $48 with discount offering to OCBC 20% off for full promotion menu. “Must-tries appetising Chinese Lettuce with sesame sauce and Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles with minced pork, we just love it!!!
Haha or test your spice limits with mains like fried chicken with dried chili and peppercorn, deep fried seabass with sweet and sour sauce, wok-fried frog leg with wild chill and Szechuan green peppercorn.
 Don't miss your chance!!!!

I am an avid szechuan cuisine fan.
But in Szechuan Court, I'm not really sure what's going on.
There were 2 classic items I ordered which i'm sure is suppose to taste nothing as such.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fusion, contemporary cuisine and what not's, i'm not adverse to changes.
BUT, if you plan to change a classic dish you must at least have the decency to mention it in your menu that it's a 'special style created by the restaurant' or have the servers advise your customers what to expect. To top it off, the 'special style' created, did not taste good at the end of the day.

The two dishes were SzeChuan spicy dan dan noodles and 'kou shui qi' (not on menu).

The saving grace of the day was the Beijing duck (ironic since the restaurant is suppose to specialise in Szechuan) and double-boiled soup.

The only reason that i gave it 1 more star is because the ambiance is nice.

I wouldn't waste my time and money here, go to a nearby coffeeshop.
