Located at Teck Chye Terrace, Tandoor Curry Clubspecialises in authentic Indian cuisine.
I stay in Sengkang neighbourhood and always enjoy eating quality food at an affordable prices. Surprisingly my friend recommended a heaven which was on my daily route and never noticed this long....yes it was Tandoor Curry Club in Upper Serangoon road. I decided to take my family on a special occasion my wife's Birthday because I was told they serve home made Kulfi's which is a favorite dessert for my wife and I wanted to give her a surprise. We reached there on Tuesday around 7:30pm by a cab 10mins ride from Sengkang. A lot of restaurants nearby and Tandoor Curry Club was somewhere in middle of Teck Chye Terrace a service person invited us into dining and offered a table in the middle as the other tables in the front was occupied. As it was the first time I gave a look around and the ambience with the music backround increased our eagerness to see the Menu. We had few recommendation from the staff and chose few of our favorite dishes. To a surprise we ate a lot and the Kulfi's blend and chillness gave a fully satisfied varieties at great prices. We would recommend to anyone who want to try a rich quality food with wide varieties. Happy Dining!!!
In groupon deal its mentioned buffet but when you go to redeem its just one tandoori platter, mostly of frozen items which are fried with spices. On top of groupon deal you pay 5$ for service charge. Effectively there is no 'deal or discount' you make on that voucher. On top just to complete your meal the other stuff which you buy will rip you. One 500ml mineral water bottle is 4$ (including GST, Service tax). Obviously a meal is incomplete with just dry roasted items. Naan is size of baby naan, and while the curry was good the overall experience of 2 adults eating for a whopping 80$ was pure cheat (incl groupon deal value). Very bad impression. Not likely to go there again and reccomend people to not buy their groupon deal. It may just work if you can eat unlimited dry fried/tandoor items with liquor.
Tasty authentic indian food. The spices used in the cooking is rich and generous. The nann is delicious, not too oily, like is found at most other eateries. I'd give it a 10 for all categories, but the ambiance/setting disappoints. It is far too quiet for such an excellent restaurant!
My friend was craving to eat some Indian food, and I recalled seeing this restaurant nearby, so we decided to go over. Parking can be quite challenging, or you can use their valet service.
The waiter recommended a lamb dish (as my friend had cravings for that)& a fish dish & a vegetable dish (sorry forgot the exact name of the dishes). We didn't have rice, so we ate garlic & butter naan. All of the food was delicious! My friends also had mango lassi & it was really nice.
Overall, the experience was really good & I do recommend it to all!
