Must come if you're willing to spend!!

Located on top of Dempsey Hill, Parking is good! Food is simply delicious personally I like their Thai salad the most followed by the German beer, it has a light taste and plentiful! You can get to enjoy performance indoor their staffs are very friendly and would even invite you on-stage to dance and sing with them. Its a MUST go if you're willing to spend just slightly above your average bill :)

oh yes!

This place is brilliant!!! Whatever we ordered were delicious!!! Band performed brilliant oldies that I love to listen to and accepts song requests. But, if you do not want to be chosen to dance gangnam style and gentleman, and you are in front, you better go to the toilet!

Great food with exceptional values

I bought a $100 voucher from one of the coupon company and I must say this is the best voucher I have every bought. Really value for money!

Food is serve hot,  steamy yummy and generous in portion and the staffs are responsive. And not to mention the Thai Theather and really impressed by their way of celebrating Birthday for their guest in a Thai style. It's simply "Thai" Jing Chai ( best Thai hospitality).

Will surely go back again!

Ive had more authentic Cough medicine!

Absolutely shocking. Thought the theme of the place sounded good and as a fan of thai food I gave it a try. And as its around Dempsey Hill I thought the standard would have been fairly high.Opened the menu and an ant crawled out. Ordered 3 dishes -: Stir fried rice with crab meat. There was more onions than anything else including Rice. Not too mention a few hairs!Thai style beef! It was simply a steak cut up with a tiny dish of sauce that had no flavour. Not exactly Thai then!! Tom Yam Soup with coconut milk - Tasted not bad to start with but we soon realised it was full of flavour enhancement. My Partner threw up twice as soon as we left after having this.Order some C tea, there was lipstick on my cup. No napkins or wet towels provided. No water served. When I saw the bill of $75 for this I almost choked. Had I not ate part of it Id have not paid.Get drunk first - you have to!

Show + Dinner

This must be a leading destination for dinner+show. Live singing and dancing while devouring the house speciality... pork knuckles.

A host of other Thai food like steamed fish and even papaya salad (done to your ability to handle the spicy).

And of course, home brew beer at different intoxicating levels. Really good quality. Really nice environs to chill at. There's even a vegetarian menu for the greenies.

Photos to reveal all.

Visit to find out more. I'm sure this style of dining will carve out a little niche for itself in the competitive Singapore dining market. It's one of the more unique concepts in Dempsey. Yes there are the pubs with good bands singing copy versions of other people's songs. And then there's Tawandang that boasts not only the ability to sing copy versions of other people's songs, but also have dancers dance along to the beat of other people's songs.

The entourage performs a few sets nightly so come early to check out the start right through to the end. The change in costume is perfectly managed. The props are eye pleasing to look at. The singers and musicians perform with so much talent and versatility.

And I should also say that the food is wonderfully delightfully authentic... with the slight twist that is for local tastes. Otherwise, have it done spicy and unforgiving so as to understand the culture of sweating while eating, pores wide open, soaking in the music and entertainment.... and not to forget, drinking the well brewed beer.
