Tawandang Microbrewery, established in 1999 in Bangkok and has ranked world's number 1 Thai and German Restaurant in the World by Time Magazine in 2003.
Every night, thousands of both locals and international customers fill up over 4000 seats at 2 separate branches in Bangkok to celebrate good times by eating delicious food, drinking smooth beer, and enjoying lively shows.
Tawandang Microbrewery offers authentic Thai cuisine such as Tom Yum Prawn, Pad Thai, Steamed Sea bass with Chili and Lime Juice together with finest quality German Brewed Beer, Lager, Dunkel and Weizen. We are the very first microbrewery in the world that offers Asian food, which many have called us, Asian Microbrewery.
Tawandang success can be attributed to our philosophy;
1. Best Beer
2. Best Cuisine
3. Best Entertainment
4. Best Ambience
The food at Tawandang is good and we have been frequent patrons of this establishment.
However due to the bad service of one server, "Nee" Serving at night she destroyed our dinner. I must commend that the other servers are great, but it will really make me think twice of coming back.
Thank you Tawandang for making such a horrible experience for us.
I had an enjoyable and wonderful night celebrating my birthday at Tawandang Microbrewery at Dempsey road. They served authentic Thai cuisines. The pork knuckle is a must try, it is crispy outside but tender inside. The other dishes we ordered are tom yam soup which I like, not that spicy, pineapple rice not very oily and fish cake i find it so so. The homemade beer was very smoothing and the live band was awesome! You won't feel bored with nice food and great music. Because it was my birthday they sang me birthday song with banner for photo-taking and a complimentary dish. It was a dish of crispy chicken wings.
This restaurant is one of the few asian restaurants with live music and super chillax ambience. My husband and I love the fried pork knuckle, the barramundi steamed in lime sauce, crab with glass noodles in claypot and definitely the red ruby dessert (which is made slightly savoury and so quite refreshing). Coupled with the homemade beer and live band music, it is definitely a place we would go to chillout.
Service could be warmer but at least we have not yet encountered any rude ones.
