Great hang out place after work

I always like TCC ambience and service. The price is slightly on the higher side, but for a session to chill out with my girl friends, this outlet is not bad. Food taste and quality is good, but for fried items are a a bit too oily for me. I will come again for sure for its beverages choices.

Unbelievably Bad

I just tried their latest promotional item, the waffles. I can say at least this much; it takes skill to make waffles this bad. I also took up my companion's recommendation and tried the spicy wings.

WafflesThe waffle we ordered came with a scoop of ice-cream and whipped cream. The texture wasn't crispy nor was the inside fluffy. Instead...it was something in between. Before I could figure out the words for the texture, I realised how tasteless the whole thing was. Just as I was getting used to the shock, the waffle started to taste a little stale.

Goodness. It was so bad, that even when I drowned a tiny piece with maple syrup and a chunk of butter, I couldn't get past the waffle! Nightmares tonight...for sure.

Spicy WingsThe wings had a bit of spice but didn't contain much flavour. The batter seemed a little darker than expected though it didn't really taste like it was burnt. The consistency of the batter wasn't there and it was a little harder that one would like. I wasn't a big fan of the dip either. It looked like curry, but tasted like bland mustard. It was a confusing combination if you ask me.

ServiceThe waiter who waited on us wasn't too bad. He was friendly and attentive to our needs. Pity though, as there wasn't anything close to an attempt of service recovery. I just filled a feedback form and left the place.

Overall

I would recommend here as a place to hang out over drinks and desserts. The standard of food has either dropped or the chef quit halfway today.

I would come here alone whenever I am free for a coffee break as I read through my books. The air-conditioned cafe is quiet and has many cushioned seats. I was able to read my books peacefully as there is hardly a crowd even though it was a weekend afternoon. There were plenty of seats that will definitely be able to accommodate a big crow. Hence, there is no need worry about not having a seat. The staffs were extremely thoughtful and warmly welcomed me into the shop while I was browsing through the menu. My order was served almost instantly. I ordered their new offering Chocolate of Wealth which was not too rich. I also had a cheesecake which was not too sweet and very creamy. Do note that TCC charges 10% service charge on top of the prevailing government tax.

Eggs. They come in all shapes, sizes, colours and varieties: white, brown, free range, barn-laid, small, large and extra large. Some come with Omega 3, others with selenium and carrot. We makes sense of it all.
What to Eat
Bingsu ice shavings, sweet rice cakes and toasts invade the cafes here. Not typically offered in traditional Korean meals, desserts are served only during special occasions as refreshments, but in Singapore, the tables are turned
