Ten-Ichi Udon @ NEX serangoon

It's located along the Japanese Food Street area of NEX and is often crowded on weekends and peak hours, obviously, considering the appeal of Japanese cuisine in local Singapore.   The prices were fairly affordable and there's the flexibility to add on their famous tempura and other side-dishes There's the option to choose the type of udon and the toppings too, whichmakes their udon personalised in a way. Also, they offer rice alternatives too, with their curry rice (basic) costing only$4.50! Not forgetting the condiments that are self-served. do try out their seaweed and fried tempura bits under the condiment section, which add much texture to your meal! And ala Japanese style, Ten-Ichi has the consumer culture of clearing their own trays, which is both pragmatic and delightful!
Do visit Ten-Ichi located at B1 of NEX to experience the dining experience ultimately! Read more on my blog

Self-serve udon

HOT NEW RESTAURANT | Joining the likes of other Japanese eateries at Shokutsu 10 ( a Japanese food street at Nex) is a self-serve udon restaurant - think canteen style - Ten-ichi Udon. With over six different types of sauces and hot soup, we recommend the Yuzu Wasabi Udon ($6.50) - a flavour of mild wasabi sauce which compliments the udon perfectly, without being overwhelmingly rich. Complete your udon meal with your choice of any tempuras ($1 - $2.50).

fast food version of the real jap food

I had soba set. The price is ok. The noodles were ok. The only thing I don't like about this restaurant is for the fact that the tempura is pre fried and left on the tray like a Buffett selection. It gets hard and difficult to eat. Nothing to rave about I won't be back for sure
