An old favourite with "women only" specials

This Sheraton Towers restaurant is a firm favourite with at least three generations of foodies in Singapore: the breath-taking space features floor-to-ceiling glass windows facing a scenic waterfall, while the classic buffet spread features everything from local favourites like laksa (their signature dish, served dry or gravy-style) and mee siam to seafood platters on ice, Japanese sashimi, prime rib roast, the famous Dining Room Laksa and durian pengat (hand-made with palm sugar, fresh mousse and fresh durian pulp). The fairer s** can look out for 'Women Only Wednesdays' when women enjoy 50 per cent off the Mediterranean dinner spread.

Good quality food

The food
We had a dinner buffet at Sunday and the place had the usual trappings of international buffet. There was seafood on ice (prawns, scallops,  mussels and clams). An added bonus was a oyster corner where staff would personally hand you fresh oysters. There was also a ssashimi counter. All in all, the quality of fish and seafood were above average buffets. For the warm food stations, the variety was a bit dissapointing but then again, the quality made up for it. This place has a small variety of desserts too and no free flow of non-caffeinated tea/ soft drinks.

Staff were attentive but a bit slow to clean up towards the end of the buffet. The staff also reminded diners the end of the buffet which was a bonus.

This place is definitely recommended for families and small groups who enjoy good food at reasonable prices. Just do not expect a very large variety of food available though.

Made a terrible choice for a pre Christmas dinner

To summarise:
1) plates are not being cleared on time. Have many staff but they are just interested in setting up for new table.
2) crab is marshy and taste like chlorine.....
3) salmon in cream with Indian flavour????
4) pastries are pathetic. To think I can see cheap pastries in a buffet that are worth $62.
5) the soups are so tasteless.
dont come for the buffet, you will definitely regret it?
