The Lighthouse

Total Reviews: 103

The Lighthouse is a new, revamped fine dining Italian restaurant at the old lighthouse at the top of The Fullerton. And while calling a restaurant in a lighthouse The Lighthouse may not be the most original idea (it was the same name that Les Amis used for a restaurant they ran here some years back), it is simple, memorable and it works.

From the gorgeous, bright, summery interior and the stunning view of Marina Bay, to the attentive, professional service and elegant tables, this restaurant delivers superbly on all fronts. Especially when it comes to the food as chef de cuisine Diego Martinelli has created a winning menu. We had their star dishes and every single one of them was amazing. Our beef carpaccio ($26) was perfect; the tagliolini with truffles came smothered in fat truffle shavings, making it well worth the $40; the risotto with foie gras ($28) was totally sinful; and the pork cheek ($36) simply melted in our mouths. There is an exceptional and thoroughly innovative dessert you must try—the traditional balsamic vinegar sauteed strawberries with lavender flower ice cream ($18), which was unlike anything we’ve had elsewhere.

Martinelli also makes his own limoncello (Italian lemon liqueur) infused with yummy flavors like coffee, chocolate and basil. This is a restaurant you can return to time and time again—bring your friends, dates, clients, bosses—we doubt it will ever disappoint. And if you come in the evening, have a glass of champagne on their rooftop lounge—it’s an experience that puts the proverbial icing on the cake of this splendid dining experience

Cosy, intimate setting overlooking the Marina Bay waterfront and skyline

The Lighthouse is located on the top floor (8th floor) of The Fullerton Hotel Singapore. The restaurant specializes in authentic Southern Italian cuisine, from regions like Campania, Sardinia and Sicily. We love the cosy, intimate setting overlooking the Marina Bay waterfront and skyline. You get a lovely view of the Marina Bay Light Show at night, and apparently a wonderful view of the fireworks display on New Year’s Eve too. There’s also an adjoining rooftop bar for those who wish to chill out in the open. We went for the Chef Carlo’s Degustation Menu ($118), the specialty Risotto ($36), and topped it off with a glass of white wine (Gavi) and a glass of red win (Nebiollo).

Our overall rating: 9 out of 10 [Ambience: 9, Service: 9, Taste: 9, Presentation: 9; Value-for-money: 9]

One of nice restaurants for celebration of your special days. Food quality is superior. Staffs are friendly. Less crowded. Less noisy. Becoz of the views facing, Rooftop var will definitely give you a relaxing mood especially on the nights without rain or too hot weather. As there are only a few seats available, reservation is a must. You must mention window seats.
