Organic Experience
Order for my niece, which was just ham & cheese sandwiches. Thought they can do better other than serving cheap picnic ham with cheese on Sunshine bread. I though the tapioca chips taste better. Disappointing and definitely not worthwhile ( I cant rem the price tot)...

Healthy living isn't that difficult!
The restaurant is recommended by my friend and is mentioned the food to be pretty good.
I went there with my family and all of us ordered different dishes.
We started off with the "sweet creamy carrot soup of the day" and "creamy mushroom soup with lavender". The carrot soup is rather impressive as you can really taste the sweet carrot within the creamy soup. I love mushrooms, but I couldn't stand lavender and this mushroom soup gives you a light lavendar after taste. However, I must say its pretty well done too.
Followed by the appetising caesar salad. I just loves the salad as it taste so fresh and go so well with the sauce!
Main course will be the Seafood Olio Olio and tuna sandwich for me.
The Seafood Olio Olio is so nice! and not oily at all! The mussels, scallops and prawns just makes my appetite better!
As for the tuna sandwich, its pretty simple but rather yummy too.
End with a sour yummy fruit yogurt with lemon sauce and honey.
The yogurt is not those sweetened yogurt found in most places and it taste rather sour but very nice!
Woohoo! I feel so healthy! (^.^)

small but great!
By small, i dun just mean the place but also the serving. i ordered some cod fillet with brown rice $11 coz both types of food are my favourite! i was rather amazed that it was a very small portion. the cod fish was on top, and the brown rice was at the bottom and the food was really...round n cute:D haha..probably just about the size of ur palm. i was 70% full after tt. but i think the average person would feel 40% full?
ok the tiny weeny beansprouts tasted weird..a little bitter, the cod fish was..juicy, smooth, a little oily, but nonetheless a mouth-watering food, my all-time favourite. and omg the brown rice. it wasnt 100% brown rice but it was very very amazing because the rice tasted very chewy, tangy, fragrant and..really its special! and there were raisins, some cheese sauce and the food was piping hot, which enhanced the flavour of everything!
oh my, i would definitely go back. btw, i duno wad is organic and wad is not. probably the bean sprouts are. and oh ya..they have a wide range of organic drinks/ salads for u to choose from but the ¬750ml organic drinks are qt ex $7.80 if i didnt rmb wrongly. but i was reading thru their nutrition content and i guess its a quality and quantity drink! sth like aid respiratory functions, alleviate sinus problem, boost health in more specific terms. and there are many diff drinks like apple, apricot, cocktail organic juice which all have a multitude of varying benefits. maybe we should all try organic juice for long term for a change.
anyway theres the set meal i think $16++ where u can have the soup of the day, the main course, a drink and a dessert. my fren ordered the set meal. i tried the cream of mushroom and it tasted very special and original. the cream used was very unique..think it was full cream.. and the mushroom bits were very fresh. my fren said that the grilled boneless chicken sauce was very salty..but i liked the food display though. the chicken given was a lot, piping hot and there were a lot of mushroom bits and some broccoli and carrot. chicken is cheap. avoid the fatty skin k. then came the dessert. wow i felt sinful stealing bites of it. the vanilla wasnt too buttery. n i forgot to mention i think the dessert is great! it was vanilla ice cream drenched with blueberry and placed above some juicy chunks of cocktail. the combination of taste was yummilicious! but my advice is go for quality rather than quantity. set meals are often...less good food?
the music was a little too soft, thus the place too quiet. and i duno where the cooking fumes came from which made my blouse stink. hmm.. n the place doesnt seem made for a cafe area because its just some..leftover space which velocity doesnt noe how to rent it out. so organicafe ended up extending their cafe space to the corridors/walkways..not v elegant looking. the waiters are v v polite though. seemed like v fragile waiters. haha. nice decorations though.
read the previous reviews and ratings n tt's why i decided to give it a try. hmm..thanks!

A healthy burst of flavour
Have you ever had the experience where you ordered something based on how it looks on the menu and is sorely dissappointed coz you don't even recognise any part of the dish sitting in front of you?
Let me tell you, this place delivers EXACTLY what it promises in the menu if not better. And its got the taste to match too!
Organic food probably conjures up images of bland, boring salads, tofu and wheatgrass concoction which probably explains the less than enthusiastic (and sometimes blank) expressions my colleague gives me when I suggested luching here.
Armed with my very thick magazine (my trusty dine-by-myself companion), I ventured here and was wowed by the variety that they offer in the menu...from lavendar infused mushroom soup to pineapple chutneyed cod fillet and chilled honey and orange freeze. I honestly had a hard time deciding what I wanted coz everything looked really good!
Settled on having the lavender infused mushroom soup, teryaki chicken for my main and chilled honey with lavender. (Yes I do love my lavender...soap it, drink it, eat it, smell like it...heck I'll change my name to lavender if I could!) The soup was creamy but the taste of musroom wasn't quite that strong tho' I do like the slight hint of lavender in it. The nicely glazed teriyaki chicken thigh was grilled perfect and served on a bed of potato wedges and baby carrots.
I wish I had enough stomach to have ordered the whole menu! The healthy burst of flavour in your mouth simply leaves you wanting more.

Healthy organic feel but they do admit the meat isn’t organic
This is one of 4 branches and yet is the only one that has been reviewed, now 3 times. What happened with the others? Maybe they’re too well tucked away, like this one, away from the shopping crowd, at the quieter eatery end of Velocity?
Organic conjures up vegetarian in my omnivorous mind, which is wrong of course. I checked and was told the vegetables, juices and pasta were organic, but not the meat – too expensive. Fair enough, but then as pointed out by previous reviewer Reto Marzari, they could attract more custom catering better for the growing vegetarian hordes who would find organic food very attractive indeed.
The café has a modern, clean healthy feel to it, packing 50- 60 seats tightly, which would not be comfortable should it be full.
FOOD
I took advantage of the set lunch for the day ($15.90), comprising Soup of the Day, choice of 3 mains, chocolate ice cream dessert and Citron iced tea.
I was able to change my Soup of the Day from Broccoli to Mushroom soup with organic lavender essential oil. The soup was adequately thick and had a good flavour.
My main was Pork Piccata which comprised 2 thin slices of very lean pork, sautéed after having dipped in herb infused egg omelette mix, and served in a sauce containing lemon, butter, tomato paste and spices together with a few thin slices of ham, al dente linguine, topped with alfalfa and sweet baby carrots. The pork was rather bland but the sauce was great.
The one scoop chocolate ice cream was nicely served in a glass with small fruit salad in a raspberry brulee.
The pre-sweetened Citron ice tea tasted better than your typical ice lemon tea. The Citron is a species of citrus fruit mostly grown near the Mediterranean, parts of India, and in Central and South America.
Serving size for this set lunch was smallish (healthy I guess) but really quite adequate for my appetite.
And just to emphasis the healthy focus of the eatery, there’s tea for slimming, draining, purifying, energy & vitality, digestion, circulation, respiratory and flat stomach! Did you know that??
“FRUITS NATURE” – ORGANIC FRUIT JUICE
The eatery is also an outlet for the French produced Fruits Nature brand of 100 per cent pure organic fruit juice. $39.90 per litre. Wah!! But did you know (taken from the brochure)?
o Every bottle is made under strict quality controls, with mandatory annual certification by Ecocert
o Free from herbicides, pesticides, pollution and chemicals
o Ideal for starvation-free fasting, to promote faster slimming, detoxification, beautification and health enhancement
o Raspberry burns fats 5 times faster than chillies
o Kiwi has 10 times more vitamin C than orange
o Ginger is a traditional health remedy for bloatedness since the 1800s
o Hibiscus juice maintains blood vessels in prime condition

o Apricot juice reduces sleeping problems
I guess when the fruit juices can do all that $39.90 per litre is cheap.
