Kueh Dah Dah or is it Dadar?

Simple and clean set-up confectionery that brings me back to my childhood. It was quiet when I entered and as I was engrossed with their selections, it suddenly got so crowded! Where did everyone come from?

Decided to purchase a few items before I have to wait for too long in line (the aunties were ordering in 10s and 20s!)

1) Kueh Dah Dah
Crepe/Skin was a pastel green green (so pretty!) and it was just the right thickness and chewiness. Filling of shredded WHITE coconut was so moist and not to sweet at all!

Absolutely love it! I never really liked this kueh because the fillings were just cloyingly sweet, but this was so delightful.

2) Ondeh Ondeh
Skin is soft and chewy but a little too thick, but the liquid-y gula melaka was a surprise as it dripped out instantly as I took a tiny bite. Thus I recommended that he ate it whole - it just burst!! We love that the fresh shredded coconut on the outside were moist!

3) Tapioca Kueh
Taste light, may not be fragrant enough for some palettes.

Five pieces for only $3!! There is supposedly a branch in Serangoon Central according to the print on its shop plastic bag, but I have not confirmed it.

Will definitely want to have the Kueh Dah Dah again!

Must Tries: Kueh Dah Dah

YUMMY ...YUMMY..

5 October 2007 : JTLL decided to sabotage the ever-ready-to-eat gang's weight management efforts by buying us this green kueh.

We always buy kueh, kaya & donuts from this place. This is one of those traditional bakeries tucked away along tiong bahru road. The green kueh was so yummy =o)

Must Tries: the donuts, kueh, kaya, etc....
