This afternoon we took the #malamee challenge and survived. This delicious bowl of handmade noodles has heat that grows with each slurp. Generously topped with pork, sliced fish and ikan bilis, you have to stir it all together to get the chilli at the bottom to mix well. The broth is excellent, like it has been boiled for hours to full flavour. ($4). Find this at the food court at Beauty World Centre
So it is hard to find good dry homemade noodles in Singapore... If you have ever tried the KL version and wondered why isn't it available here, well this store doesn't help. Highly rated by most bloggers, I had to try. It ended being a huge disappointment and me feeling 'I must be so hungry that I lost my foodie sensibilities when it comes to any possibilities of finding good dry homemade mee here'. Just like Pho, u are just better eating overseas.
