Cafe - Muji feel

18 Dec 2009
Quality and no-frills. This cafe gives me the same feeling as Muji. Since I visited it post dinner, I did not try much of its food. But the drinks and some food sampling they brought out showed their commitment to quality. Coffee and Tea prices are cheaper than Starbucks but the quality is better. I am going to try its sandwiches during lunch one of these days.

I recommend mainly because of its ambience

    24 Apr 2013
Two times - that's my visitation tally to this small little cafe in town.

My first visit, as far as food is concerned, was not fantastic except for the mentaiko pasta. I was in fact quite disappointed with the visually unique dirt cake.

For my review, please visit http://cavinteo.blogspot.sg/2013/04/vanilla-bar-cafe-pork-belly-don.html.

The second visit (as a result of a company lunch) didn't change my impression of the food; had the teriyaki chicken sandwich that tasted nothing like the Japanese teriyaki chicken i know.

Having said that, i was more impressed with the desserts this time. Especially their mini brownies that were served piping hot!

I also recommend this place for:

After Work, Business Dining, Nice Deco, Relaxed, Romance/First Dates

      Relaxing corner in town

      28 Feb 2013
A narrow shophouse, dark towards the front but bright in the middle due to an air-well. Lovely for couples & small groups but not large gatherings. Had their house blend iced coffee and it was nice. Heard about their tongue-in-cheek Dirt cake, would love to give it a try on my next visit.
