We have been to this seafood restaurant many times, quality of food never fails. You never go wrong with its cereal prawns, which is cooked with crispy oatmeals tossed with a hint of chili powder.

This time round, we tried the Sri Lanka crabs deep fried with salted eggs. Very tasty!

The waitresses there have an excellent memory though we haven't been there for over a year. Service is prompt and efficient.

    Must tries: Cereal prawns

hahaha. have been craving for seafood for many days. decided to pop by the place after work with friends for dinner.

first time at west coast recreation centre and for the seafood. =) ambience of the palce was ok. more suitable for wedding dinners rather than 3 souls eating out. =) service was ok. attentive. and the manager on shift even asked us how was the food. =) but like weighty man. chinese staff were a bit blur. 'polite but blur'. =)

i love the food and i love the company!!! =D

first dish was the fish maw with crab broth. i like it. very thick and gooey and full of pieces of fish maw and crab. =)

had the scallop sharkfin appetizer. was ok. quality-wise was good. but not my cup of tea la.

the drunken prawns were good! came in a big claypot and boiling when we opened the pot. the soup base was good. very herb-y and the taste of the wine was very strong. think we were a bit high after that. prawns were big and fresh. can fight with the ones at thaipan. =)

and we ordered the e-fu mian as a main. and i like the noodles. was al-dante. (do you spell it that way? =)) and there were quite a bit of mushrooms. but there was no wok-hei smell. =X

overall a good experience. will definitely be back for more. =D

Must tries: fish maw broth, drunken prawns, e-fu noodles

This is one resturant worth your while to visit. If you have read my limited postings, I am quite a fussy and **** chooser. But this restaurant blew me away with its impeccable service and GREAT food.

I hosted a dinner party for 10 person on a weekday and placed an order of about 8 dishes from the menu.

The food was served promptly, hot and very fresh (the fish and seafood).

It was truly an enjoyable experience. Although the ambience is nothing to go "wow" over, the food more than makes up for it.

I will come back again and savor all the wonderful seafood they have to offer.

    1. blargh it would help if you could let us know what specifically you ordered and how it turned out?

then we'll bear in mind your recommendations if we go to the place.

    2. Weighty Man Dishes are commonly found but well prepared, good service and reasonably priced. Tks for the review.

Formerly occupied by Palm Beach, the new management runs it in a style pretty close to Palm Beach. We're invited to dinner a couple of days ago. As this place is next to the West Coast football stadium one can hear the roar of the spectators as the game was on that night we had dinner there.

Food: Cold plate as a starter, fish maw soup with crab meat - this was pretty mediocre when compared to the Beng Thin fish maw soup, fairly thin soup with a few pieces of fish maw shreds and some crab chunks. Broccoli with scallops - this was tasty but the broccoli was overcooked. Yam basket with seafood and chicken meat - basket was good but chunks of food in it were not. Coffee pork-ribs - tasty but the coffee overwhelmed the pork, perhaps intentional. Steamed fish - soon hock (marble gobey) I think but fish was overcooked, the flesh was "loco" meaning like tapioca and not fresh. Noodles tasty and the dessert was a simple longan with jelly.

Ambience: Clean and bright, floor not stained with food like many other mediocre restaurants. Parking is easy.

    Value: Reasonable

Service: I always take issue with China waitresses because they do not understand what we're requesting. Polite but blurr.

Overall a good dinner but not memorable.

Wanted to look for a place to eat after work . Just happen to zoom past this place for searching for some dinner near the West.

Well , firstly its a restaurant so food are a bit ex , ranging from $15 to $30 . Situated in West Coast Recreation Centre , it is quite hidden from the crowd so there was no problem finding a seat. In fact , only two tables were filled up when we hopped in there .

Food . We ordered crab meat fried rice (So So) . For the curious , can check out their almond chicken and also their fried scallop with mango.

Service is good. Their waitresses are mostly foreigners , from China. So somehow complement with their chinese restaurant.

would love to go back again if happen to be around that area.
