Thick aromatic tonkutsu broth.... when the soup cools down you can see a layer forming on the top of the soup

Good Noodles & Soup but Aircon Too Warm!

Food/Drink 4| Value 4| Ambience 2| Service 1

Service was ok, though nothing to shout about. Everything was clean. Aircon needs help. Maybe a strong air curtain at the front door, which opens very often, can help to keep the place cool.

Noodles and soup consistently good. Not overly rich like Ippudo for a hot weather like ours.

not bad

food: ramen here is good..i remember the first time i came here. the soup was what made me come back for more. however, if you do not like your ramen soup with too much flavour and stock, this is not the place for you.

value: food is quite expensive IMO..don't expect to spend less than $20 if you want to order sides

restaurant: located in a good area! many dessert spots/bars around Holland to go to after your meal here

service: you have to pay at the counter after finishing your meal

Different experience from Big Splash

We've always enjoyed the Ramen at Big Splash but this joint at HV is a different matter.  Perhaps it's the tight spaces that HV outlets have to contend with.

Food:  Ordered the Hakata Ramen and it came with miserable two thinly sliced pieces of pork,  The bill came to almost S$15 per bowl,  you'd think they would serve more pieces.  Ramen was good, crunchy and no flour taste.  Soup stock was tasty but I think they added too much thickener to make the soup look goey.  Not my favourite soup.

Value:  Pricey for a small bowl.

Ambience:  Cool, Tightly seated.

Service:  Average

Ramen

I really feel sorry when I go to this place as the bad memory I had with my friend there. It was supposed to be his birthday celebration but I was so stressed up with my work that it wasn't a celebration him. But the food was really nice and I really enjoyed the ramen

Ramen!

The thing that I love the most about this place is not the ramen but the style in which the restaurant is set up. I have always been a fan for those counter Seats and of course they have regular sitting areas too. This place is located at Holland village and serves up a nice portion and serving of ramen which is a guarantee to fill up your tummy. However, if you are going for the taste and an extreme food critique I would highly suggest that you look somewhere else before considering this place. The taste of their ramen at best will be above average in my opinion but if you would like a Japanese style setting experience, do try this place.
